Black and White Geo Print

If you find a print or pattern in my wardrobe, it will be a stripe, high contrast geo print (geometric pattern), or aabstract one in bold jewel colors.

My new favorite cascading vest from Covered Perfectly is the perfect print for me. This high contrast black and white with abstract spots is one of the new items introduced last month.

When I travel, I always take one of these vests with me. They take up no space in your luggage, and you can wear them in many ways to change the look of basics.

I am wearing the vest here over the white simple comfort top. If you wear tank tops, it wears beautifully over those on a hot day to give you a little coverage. I hate showing off my middle in clinging tops, but I don't mind showing my arms.

When I strolled out to greet Mr. Mickey wearing this, he said: "That is one of the best looks you've worn in a while." He loves this combo!

This video shows you how I wear the cascading vests and shares some tips for traveling light.

I wear a cascading vest from last year also in black and white. Lately I've been wearing it as a rear end cover on my way to the gym and back...too hot for jackets but the vest adds no warmth and gives me coverage....exercise pants show more than I want to show unless I'm working out. LOL

I almost always wear a print, but I am learning to wear tone on tone. I used to like color blocking and high contrast between tops and bottoms, but the years took me from a size four (super skinny for my height) to where I am now. I found your blog and realized this doesn't work for me now. If I color block at all, I stick to a column of darker color with a high contrast light jacket or sweater on top.

Sometimes it's the things you wear that show me this is not the best look for me with my body shape. I can't change my shape, nor do I want to any more. But I can learn to love it and look my best. I was stuck in a look that worked in my 20s, without realizing it. That's not my life and look now. Thank you.

I finally ordered one of these vests! In the geometric print you're wearing, can't wait to receive it. Susan, you always look so polished and put together. Such an inspiration, it keeps me motivated to pull outfits together for the work week. Thanks for all the good content in your blog. --Anne
