The Anniversary

March 7th was our nine years of dating anniversary.

Mr. Mickey took me to dinner at our favorite restaurant in town, Gourmet and Company, and then to the Johnson City Symphony performance.

The weather was still cold, so I wore something warm for the long walk back to the car after the symphony performance.

I wrapped a couple of long gold and pearl necklaces around my neck in Chanel style and wore my Saint John knit jacket with the famous gold buttons. The long sleeve tee is from Chico's. The tailored pants are from Saks Off 5th. The Kenneth Cole Reaction sunglasses, Franco Sarto boots, and the black clutch are all from T.J.Maxx.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were shown our table where these nine perfect roses and a beautiful card were already placed on the table. After a toast with our favorite wines, the waiter arrived with a silver tray. On it was this gift box containing beautiful silver earrings from Gregory Isabell. 

These are just a few of the reasons that Mr. Mickey is my Knight in Shining Armor.

The Chico's Styling Event

Chico's was celebrating the coming of spring this week!

Our local boutique had a special event in the store on Saturday, including informal modeling and personal style tips shared by me with anyone interested.

Every party needs balloons, flowers, and snacks!

Here are two Susans with a lot in common. We are almost the same age, we both own businesses, and we have modeled together several times. My friend Susan asked me for some tips today, so we talked about proportion. 

Below is our after the photo. Note how opening up her neckline, pushing up her sleeves, and eliminating the break at the waistline helps her to look taller and thinner.

She also looked great in these muted colors in an asymmetric hem top. Wearing hemlines that do not cut your body in half can really help to visually elongate.

Mr. Mickey bought the Dream Lace-Back Kimono Duster Jacket for me since today is our ninth anniversary of dating. More about that in the next post!

Some of the models for the day are pictured below. Our ages are 58, 65, and 59. You can be a diva at any age!

Biker Jacket and Boyfriends

We met friends at the Bonefish Grill after work for happy hour.

The rain clouds vanished early in the day, and the sun came out to give us glorious temperatures in the 70s.

I wore boyfriend jeans from the Platinum Collection at Chico's with one of their silver gray tank tops and a biker-inspired jacket from Stein Mart. The suede shoes were by Nine West via Ross a few years ago. The gray quilted chain bag is from Express.
