Combat Boots (Sort of)

I recently wore my black linen biker jacket from Express over a striped tee with three-quarter sleeves, gray jeans from Chico's and new boots by French Connection from Saks Off 5th. (My Mom called them combat boots.)

When I bought this jacket at Express I didn't miss the raised eyebrow of the young woman who rang it up for me.

This post is showing up a bit late in the day because I was in Knoxville last evening signing with a talent agency. I am very excited to see where this new path will lead me.

Never give up on your dreams!

Congratulations, Susan, for signing with a talent agency! Have viewed your public speaking engagement (from October) several times and shared it with friends. You're very good at sharing helpful hints in a gracious way. Loved your comment about the young cashier raising her eyebrow when you bought the biker jacket : )

I like the jacket. It's a longer length and different than the usual ones.

Congratulations on signing your contract with the talent agency! We can say we knew you "way back then" when you hit the big time. Obviously the young lady at Express doesn't have a clue...the jacket is fabulous on you.
