Champagne Brunch

A champagne brunch is a perfectly timed meal for us while on a weekend getaway.

Wearing layers always feels more comfortable to me. I enjoy wearing light flowing sheer sweaters and dusters over white pants and a tank in warm weather.

This long duster from Chico's is one I have worn before on the blog. Some of you asked about the back panel last time. You can see here with the white pants and tank that it is a navy blue lace panel.

The shoes are by Sam Edelman.

The rings are old. The cuff and necklace are from Chico's, and all of my clothes are as well.

I appreciate that Mr. Mickey always looks so dapper when we go out. These are his choices. I do not help him with his wardrobe.

Photos were taken while on holiday at The Martha.

A Gallery Opening

Last night we had dinner at Bonefish and then attended a fine art photography gallery opening in Bristol.

I always feel taller, more confident, assertive, elegant, and well dressed when I wear head to toe black. This is in harmony with every color profile I have ever had. Your own head to toe flattering color may be ivory, navy, burgundy, or some other rich color, but the same principle can apply to you as well.

The suede heels are from Saks off 5th.

The tiny evening bag is from T.J.Maxx.

The clothes and necklace are old from Chico's.

The shark-bite lace overlay top has a higher hem in the front than the back.

The Benjamin Walls gallery is now located in Bristol. Some of his new work was unveiled last night. If you get a chance to stop by and see his phenomenal photography, you will be amazed.

Benjamin's sister owns the boutique next door.

Bristol sits on the border of Virginia and Tennessee. This lighted sign spans State Street's width, where you are literally in another state after crossing the street.

Modeling For Chico's

Occasionally my friends at our local Chico's ask me to model for them. I enjoy these events very much!

I always bring various colors and styles of shoes with me when I am asked to model. As you know, shoes make the look.

The spring merchandise has already started to arrive at Chico's. I bought several of the pieces I wore today. I just had to have these ankle-length Platinum jeans.

I always enjoy getting to meet Fifty, not Frumpy followers when I am out and about. This is Patsy Davis, who also lives in Johnson City. Thank you for coming out today, Patsy!

An award-winning management team!

This pale blue top has a sequined front, so I added a long crystal and silver necklace and suede pumps to make it more appropriate for the evening.

I always find something in the Travelers Collection that I love.

Jane Street and Susan Street... no relation, just long time friends.

There was a great turnout throughout the whole day!

As I was about to dress in my own clothes to leave, a guest asked me to model these palazzo pants. They are so comfortable! They would be perfect for taking with you on a cruise.

An extra thanks to Mr. Mickey for spending the whole afternoon being our photographer. (I was told several times today that it would be great if we could clone him!)

A Look Back

2014 was an excellent year for those of us who prefer the uncomplicated casual style. Below are some of my favorite looks from the past year.

A jacket with jeans seems to be my uniform.

Goofing around on my birthday getaway weekend in Virginia.

Thank you for all your kind comments and good wishes. Mr. Mickey and I are both feeling much better each day. We look forward to sharing more of our adventures with you in 2015!
