One never knows what wonderful car you will get to see when you attend the show, "Drive Your British Car Night."
As I was quickly getting dressed for this evening, I tried on many outfits before running out of time and had to settle on the one I wore. Normally I would not wear pants with a cuff or a wider leg; however, the high heels seemed to balance things. We would be having dinner in the restaurant later in the evening, so I had to wear something appropriate for the show and dinner.
The reason my hair looks really strange tonight... we arrived in Mickey's non-British convertible.
My attire includes the champagne-colored swing coat you have seen before, worn with an off white tank top and off white pants, which were a gift from my sister last year. The shoes are by Vince Camuto, and the clutch bag was found at T.J. Maxx a few years ago.

Oh, I love riding in a convertible, hair be damned. :-)
Your hair actually looks fine and you look fabulous. Nice coat!!
You look smashing, as usual, wind blown hair and all! I swear, you and Mr Mickey have more fun than any two people I know. What a collection of fabulous cars. Mr. Mickey's car isn't too shabby either.
absolutely love that coat, where did u get it?

Beautiful outfit!!! I love everything you put on; you keep me inspired.
My jacket is from the Fig Leaf in Blowing Rock NC last year. I hope they still have them. I would love to have a navy one also.
ooh navy... just perfect.

I am sorry to say this, and I mean it to be constructive but the proportions of this outfit are wrong. The jacket needs a long pair of trousers. The turn ups (as we call them in England) are wrong. You are usually spot on with your outfits.
I agree with you reader in England... this is not a look I would have chosen to wear but I was already late so I just had to go with it. The heels saved the look otherwise it would never have worked. The outfit turned out to be a big hit.
I love car shows. You look fabulous.
You're as glam as your environment! The cars are an appropriate background.
P.S. I disagree with anonymous, respectfully. I think the length of the pants makes the outfit. It's got a '50s South of France vibe to me.
Your -last minute - attire is the most beautiful outfit I have seen on you in the last time! The marvelous coat ,the pants with cuff ,high heels and a clutch. A perfect combination (particularly seen in front of red or blue car ).Thank you for sharing with us
Absolutely love car shows.
For years, hubby only purchased MGB (B's); then just before retirement, he finally purchased his dream car (I call it mid-life crisis car) -- A Porsche.
I also disagree with the "wrong proportions" comment. The shorter pant length makes this outfit "new" (or less buttoned up to borrow from an earlier conversation). This is evocative of Doris Day or Grace Kelly driving a sports car in a 50s movie. A longer pant would have made this a more ordinary, less fashion forward ensemble. Well done!
