If you were also a teen during the seventies, you know the joy of wearing platform shoes and black jeans with a cool jacket.
This look took me back to my teenage years when I lived in jeans and platform shoes.
I certainly didn't understand how to effectively use style, color, and proportion back then, but I thought I looked really cool all the same. This photo from my senior yearbook proves otherwise.
The jacket is by Ruby Rd. from Dillard's a few years ago. The jeans are from Chico's last fall. The shoes are by BCBGeneration via Ross. The bag is by Tahari via T.J.Maxx a couple of years ago. The Kenneth Cole Reaction sunglasses are also from T.J.Maxx.
OMG! Your legs go on forever! Keep wearing the longer pants and heels. It is a very slimming and flattering look;)
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Susan! The cropped jacket and tight trousers enhance your great figure! Love the red colour dash with your look.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the photo of your senior year. You are as beautiful now as you were at that time - but now with a lot more confidence.

Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteYou always look terrific! This post caught my eye when you spoke about Grand Funk Railroad. He's from the city I am from. His sister Sandy owns a dance school where my daughter attended for many years.
My husband thought that Don was now playing drums for Bob Segar. So it really is true...the game, 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon! You, me, Sandy, Don. Woohoo! You made it in only 4 connections! Ha Ha!
Loving the black jeans & platforms! Thanks for the GFR video! What memories! Did we really groove to that?! lol :)
ReplyDeleteYou were a beautiful young woman and you are a beautiful, confident and self-assured lady now.
