Do you play around with different styles?
We recently took Mr. Mickey's daughter out for her 50th birthday celebration dinner.
In honor of her very youthful urban fashion vibe, we decided to wear jeans and be more casual.
This burnout velvet cardigan has a distinct bohemian vibe. I found it on sale at Dillard's recently. The cuff and tank top were from Chico's. The jeans are by Jag Jeans via the Fig Leaf in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. The mesh and suede trim shoes are old by Sam Edelman. The reptile embossed box bag is from S.M. Bradford Co. on Hilton Head Island.
Great outfit. I love to dress up jeans. Your new "do" makes you look younger!
ReplyDeleteYou've shown the way to boho style that works at this stage of life: keep it simple with one color, black in this case. Avoid pattern and shine. Too often, boho is very tired and ages us because it is all too, too, too -- too much pattern, too much contrast, too many textures all at once (and the awful shiny fringe). By simplifying and keeping accessories non-boho, this look is sleek and flattering. Five stars, Susan.

And once again, a very similar look will soon be mine. I'm becoming a copycat.
