We typically dress for dinner. It makes the evening special and more enjoyable for us.
We had reservations in The Dining Room on Friday and Saturday nights during our stay at The Inn on Biltmore Estate this past weekend.
The fresh flowers throughout the hotel are always captivating.
I wore a Ralph Lauren tuxedo jacket trimmed with black satin lapels. The pants are by Lior Paris. The shoes and bag are from Saks Off 5th Avenue. The draped surplice neckline top is by BCBGMAXAZRIA also via Saks Off 5th Avenue.
You look so classy and stunning Susan. The outfit is exactly what I would wear .... and the shoes are to die for :)
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful. Funny thing....we were at the Library at the Inn on Biltmore Estate Sunday for lunch! Then we went to the house and view the beautiful romantic wedding attire from the movies. Did you get a chance to tour the house?
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that we missed seeing you, Penny. We didn't tour the house this time. We have been there many times before. It's so much fun to just be there on the estate.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to spending a night in Asheville as we make our way to our nephew's wedding in Florida. The Biltmore is impressive and I hope we get to see it.
ReplyDeleteWe live in an area where people seem to dress casually for everything. I often wish I could dress to the nines for dinner at a nice restaurant, but would be very overdressed if I did. That's why I love visiting large cities where dressing up isn't an oddity. Isn't it odd that so many people nowadays equate being underdressed with comfort? I maintain that you can dress well and be just as comfortable. The rules just seem to have changed.
You look beautiful (as always) Susan! I had to smile when I read that you like to dress for dinner: me too! I have a good relationship with my ex, and we often meet for dinner, and when we do, without consulting each other, we always dress up, and often what we've chosen is complementary. I agree with Kristien's statement that one can dress well and be comfortable; in fact, for the most part, I'm more comfortable when I'm dressed up, because I can feel confident about my appearance and not be distracted by feeling under dressed.
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome. Now if only I could get you to be my personal shopper!!! I need help. Lol
