Tartan Ruana

Ruanas are a very stylish alternative to sweaters.

I love the elegant look of sweeping one side over the other shoulder.

This Tartan Ruana is from Foxcroft. All of their items are very high quality. The styles are timeless and elegant.

I wore the ruana with black jeans, a silver-gray long sleeve tee, and D'Orsay suede heels.

On an earlier occasion, I wore the ruana with a black long sleeve tee and black pencil skirt with short boots and opaque tights.

It would also work very well with faded blue jeans and a black turtleneck.

  3. I am so happy to know what these things are called! Ruana sounds much hipper than "shawl"! Also nice to know how to style. Now all I need is the Texas weather to cooperate.

  4. I had no idea what a Ruana was till now - I've always called that a shawl, which is so old fashioned sounding LOL. Anyway - it looks great on you, and you have inspired me to pull the one I have out of storage. I have a black & white large check print from many years ago, which I used to wear over a black leather blazer. Weather here will be just above freezing by the end of the week, so I will try it over a black jacket, with red leather gloves and purse. Thank you for the inspiration.

  5. Beautiful as always. You are such an inspiration for me to look in my closet to see what I can do with what I have. Thanks again for giving us all such good advice and tips.

  6. Ryana is a lovely name for a shawl. It looks like a versatile extra layer for the seasonal change. You are tall enough to wear it very well. I would look like E.T.
